Answer: No, it stays cool to the touch. -

Answer: The container is all steel. I have not noticed any metallic taste. -

The cork lid is challenging to get back together, and the product is physically cumbersome due to its large rounded design and heavyweight. The BlackBlum Pot Steel is way too expensive for what you get. Despite these Cons, users love the product for its ability to keep food hot, and its stylish design.
