This product has 5 sensors and is able to detect live electric wires unlike the T6 which has 6 sensors but cannot detect live wires. This stud finder works equally well over plaster and lath as on wallboard. Although some users found that they needed to run it over a stud several times to get a good reading, others claimed that it was easy to use and very accurate. One user noted that the button malfunctioned after several uses. In general, customers were pleased with the product’s accuracy and usefulness, but some noted that it did not seem very sturdy for the price.
