- This kit has the beginner in mind! Learn the technique of coiled basketry! Promotes mindfulness!
- Kit makes one coiled basket about 2-1/2" wide by 1-1/2" tall or one flat coaster 3-1/2" diameter. This basket takes 2+ hours to make. You can expand the basket size with more materials.
- The kit comes in a bag containing: Fiber cord, raffia, tapestry needle and color instructions. Raffia is a natural fiber from palm trees. It has various widths and lengths and needs to be damp to work with. Plant materials are not exact and create unique results.
- Ages 8 and up, Adult Participation necessary for ages 12 and under (take breaks). This project creates the muscle memory necessary for developing the complex skill of basketmaking.
- Made in USA by a small family business. Videos available for visual guidance. I am happy to help, please contact with questions!
