The Kane Chronicles Survival Guide is a great addition to the book series for children who enjoy fantasy fiction. In these books, readers can expect cool battles against mythological creatures along with the magic. However, some readers have received the book in pretty bad condition, with ripped pages or corners, and even missing pieces. Therefore, they advise purchasing it from a physical bookstore if the physical condition matters to the buyer. Apart from the physical condition, readers enjoyed the book, which summaries background information into all things Egyptian, although it does not necessarily present anything new. The guide is a nice little handbook recapping the first and second Kane books. It is always enjoyable, even though it is not necessary to read to progress with the story.
