The clock chimes every hour, but it has a night auto-silent feature that turns off the melody from 11:00 PM until 5:00 AM. Unfortunately, the clock's speed cannot be regulated if it runs too fast or too slow. Besides this, the clock is easy to set up and operate. The chime sound is not particularly loud or quiet, but it is Consistent and reminiscent of something from the past. Overall, the clock is a good buy for its price and adds a vintage touch to any fireplace mantel.
