- The first edition of this book appeared in 1995, and has since gained widespread acceptance by practising test engineers on both sides of the Atlantic.The purpose of this book is to bring together in one volume the large and scattered body of information on the theory and practice of engine testing and test plant design to which any engineer responsible for work of this kind must have access.Since publication of the first edition three years ago, there has been considerable 'feedback', and the authors have become aware that amplification of several topics was desirable.
