The Mini-Rooter is a small, compact and easy to use drain cleaning machine. It comes with some additional features like a heavy-duty direction switch with metal guards and a durable foot pedal, which are not available in other Mini-Rooters. However, the 3/8" cable tends to tangle within the drum and can be difficult to pass through small radius elbows. This cable can also hurt you if it kinks between the machine and drain. Customers suggest changing to a 1/2" cable like the EM3 from General for better results. Overall, the machine has enough torque, power, and proper RPM to work in 3-4 inch drain tubes, and can even clean a 4-inch drain tube infected with tree roots. The quick disassembly of the electric motor and the drum make it convenient for transportation.
