Produkto Aprašymas
- Why does the world expect so much of such ordinary bones?Through five chapters, this collection of poetry takes the reader on a journey through the long night, using elements of myth, horror, religion and bittersweet hope to give voice to the invisible, the past, our beliefs and ourselves. Exploring themes of love, friendship, abuse, loss and that unending hope that lives within all of us. Identity; losing our sense of self in a rapidly changing world, the unreliability of faith and our complex relationship with death. The Night Talks pits the person against the intangible thing that makes us question ourselves in the dark, and let's us win, sometimes.Too SoonGrief has a schedule. An anxious little thing, hungry for time and needing direction, but Death deals in ends, and likes folders and documents.Grief hates folders and documents, and phone calls, especially phone calls andthe swing-clap thud of morgue doors.Silence little grief,Death hushes its busy admin child. The nurse has come for the body now.—This book contains poems about domestic violence, namely Runaway and Husk.
